Covid-19 Cases in India: Due to the increasing case of corona infection in many states and union territories of the country, the central government has sent multi-disciplinary high level central teams. Apart from this, the Health Secretary has advised 7 states / union territories to adopt necessary measures. According to the information, the central government has sent high level teams to Maharashtra, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Jammu and Kashmir. The three-member team is headed by a Joint Secretary level officer in the Health Ministry.
These teams will help the governments of states and union territories to deal with the corona and handle the situation. These teams, along with the local administration, will also find out the cause of rising cases of corona virus. In addition, these teams will work with local health authorities to address the growing cases of corona infection. Apart from this, states and union territories have been advised to review the situation regularly with district level officials to ensure that the arrangements made for COVID are better.
RT-PCR test advice of asymptomatic negatives
The Union Health Secretary has written a letter to seven states and union territories asking them to adopt aggressive measures to stop the chain of corona infection. Apart from this, the Union Health Secretary has asked to increase RT-PCR testing so that the corona infected people can be identified and separated from the rest. These states / Union Territories have been advised to increase RT-PCR test and rapid antigen tests in the affected districts and compulsively negative RT-PCR test of sympathetic negatives in antigen tests. On getting corona positive, infected people will be isolated / hospitalized and people exposed to them will be tested without delay.

Center fears apprehensive situation on relaxation
The Central Government told these States / Union Territories that if there is any relaxation to prevent infection, then the situation can be frightening because in some countries new strains have come which can spoil the situation. The Union Health Secretary has written a separate letter to the chief secretaries of 10 states and union territories, asking these teams to provide time for debrief on state visits. The team meets the field authorities to take stock of the situation and understand the difficulties faced in dealing with the challenges.
