Born into a very poor priestly family, Renuka faced the toughest situations in life. After completing his studies till tenth, Renuka started working in the service of an old orphan man in his service. And also used to work as a priest in a nearby temple. In that ashram, food was available only twice in the morning and at 8 in the evening. Renuka could not even study properly due to hunger for the whole day. After finding enough, he found work in a nearby factory. After working for a year, he also worked in the same plastic and ice making company. After that he started working in a bag trading company. After working for a few years, he thought of starting a business of his own. He started a business of suitcase cover but unfortunately he lost Rs 30,000. He then started working as a security guard.
But the urge to do something big in life forced Renuka to quit this guard job. In the end he decided to learn car driving. Taking a loan from some of his relatives, Renuka learned driving and started working. Once again, time did not support them and the car collided during parking. But this time Renuka did not give up. He became a successful driver by practicing driving day and night. A few days later he started working as a driver in a big travel agency. Here he used to work for foreign tourists and would also get good tips.
After working for almost 4 years, Renuka decided to open her own travel company. With the help of his own savings and bank loan, he bought his first car and started a company called ‘City Safari’. After a good year of running, he bought another car. At the same time, the condition of a cab company was deteriorating and she wanted to sell her business. Renuka bought the company, which had 35 cabs, for around six lakhs.
The real story of success began when Amazon India selected him for his own promotion. Gradually, big companies like Walmart, General Motors started contracting with them. Moving ahead with the times, the turnover of his company today is beyond 40 crores and it is providing employment to more than 150 people. In the midst of women empowerment, Renuka is also encouraging women to become drivers and giving them financial assistance of up to 50 thousand to buy their own car.
