A lady has died after travelling to Turkey for gastric band surgical procedure.
Shannon Bowe, from Denny in Falkirk, is known to have died on Saturday.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stated it was supporting Ms Bowe’s household however wouldn’t affirm if she died earlier than, throughout or after the weight-loss operation.
Ms Bowe’s boyfriend, Ross Stirling, paid tribute on Facebook. He wrote: “Sleep tight my angel, love you forever and always.”
Another good friend wrote: “You’re constantly on my mind. I just don’t know how to accept what’s happened and words can’t describe how I’m feeling.”
The added: “My heart is sore for you and everyone that loved you. We have had some of the best memories and you really did make everyone laugh with your ways. You were taken in such an unfair way and I’m so sorry.”
Ms Bowe’s aunt, Amanda Bowe, additionally paid tribute to her “beautiful niece”, writing: “Life can be so cruel.”
Gastric band surgical procedure is a weight reduction process by which an adjustable band is positioned across the high a part of the abdomen to lower meals consumption.
