WashingtonThe administration of Norway was seen on Friday looking for the US Navy aircraft that went missing during the training exercise. The Norwegian military said in a statement that the Navy plane ‘Osprey’ did not land on the Arctic Circle municipality of Bodo as it went missing on Friday night.
Subsequently, the Civil Joint Rescue Coordination Center Northern Norway launched a search and rescue operation, according to the statement. Norway’s military said late Friday that searches south of Bodo had been carried out by air. It also said, “Due to the weather conditions, it is not possible to reach the spot by air.”
We can confirm an incident has occurred involving a Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey aircraft.
The aircraft was conducting training in Norway as part of Exercise COLD RESPONSE 22 at the time of the incident.

The Marine Corps tweeted, “We can confirm the incident involving the MV-22B Osprey aircraft of the Marine Corps. The reasons for this incident are being investigated. Additional details will be given as and when it is received.”
