Heatwave: Many parts of the world are facing severe heat at this time. New records of temperature rise are being recorded daily in America and Canada and so far a large number of people have died.

US Canada Heatwave: At this time it is getting hot all over the world. People are dying due to this from America to Canada. In the US, the death toll continues to rise in the Pacific Northwest region and medical workers say the death toll may rise due to extreme heat (US heatwaves). Hundreds of people died in Oregon, Washington state and Canada’s British Columbia and it is being investigated whether all died due to heatstroke.
The region started experiencing severe heat on June 25 and some areas got some relief on Tuesday itself. Origen’s medical examiner said on Friday that the death toll in this state alone has reached at least 95. Most of the deaths occurred in Multnomah County (Deaths Due to Heatwaves). A migrant laborer from Guatemala is also among the dead. British Columbia’s chief coroner in Canada, Lisa Lapointe, said her office had received “sudden and unexpected deaths” of at least 486 people between June 25 and Wednesday.
30 killed in Washington
He said that although it is too early to say how many of these deaths were due to heat wave, but these deaths are likely to be due to heat. Washington state officials have reported about 30 deaths due to heatstroke, but that number could rise (Hottest Places). Dr. Steve Mitchell, director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, said, ‘I think that number will increase over time. I can say from my own experience that the death toll could be more than this.
Temperature increased by 30 degrees above normal
Meteorologists have attributed this scorching heat to 30 degrees above normal temperature. Due to which an area of high pressure has been created. The mercury dropped slightly in western Washington and Oregon, but heat warnings are still in place in the Interior Northwest and Canada. In British Columbia, Canada, in the midst of the scorching heat, many villages even caught fire. Due to which about one thousand people have been shifted to safer places.
