Washington, US President Joe Biden said that the possibility of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine still remains. His statement came as US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin left on a field trip amid the growing crisis in Europe. Biden said that any such move by Russian President Vladimir Putin would prove to be “injury to himself”.
He warned Moscow that the US and its allies would react “decisively”. He said that America is still ready to negotiate diplomatically to resolve the issue. He said more than 150,000 Russian troops were still gathered at the Ukrainian border. The Kremlin has repeatedly denied plans to attack Ukraine, but has demanded that NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) not include Ukraine and other former Soviet countries as its members.
