Scotland’s First Minister Humza Yousaf and his spouse expect a child this summer time, with the couple “delighted” to be including to their household.
Announcing the information on Friday, Mr Yousaf mentioned his spouse, Dundee councillor Nadia El-Nakla, is because of give delivery in July.
It would be the first time a Scottish first minister has had a baby whereas in workplace.
The couple have already got two kids – four-year-old daughter Amal and Mr Yousaf is stepfather to 14-year-old Maya.
As the SNP chief spoke about his need to enhance miscarriage care final September, he revealed he and Ms El-Nakla have misplaced 4 pregnancies – “two before our daughter was born and another two after”.
Revealing the great being pregnant information, Mr Yousaf mentioned: “Nadia and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting a new addition to our family in July.
“We wish to thank the early being pregnant unit at Ninewells Hospital who’ve offered great help to Nadia and our household by way of the early levels of her being pregnant.”
