Russia-Ukraine War: Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), struck a tricky tone on Thursday (October 13), declaring that the alliance is not going to be intimidated by Russia’s nuclear threats.

He declared, “We won’t be intimidated. Russia’s nuclear language is reckless and dangerous, and they are aware that using a nuclear weapon against Ukraine will have serious repercussions.”
After a two-day gathering of the Defence Ministers of the alliance, Toltenberg was talking with reporters. The assembly was the primary vital gathering of NATO since Russia introduced its annexation of plenty of territories in Ukraine.

NATO has categorised Russia’s nuclear threats as a blatant escalation of the battle. Ukraine was invaded by Russia on February 24.
Russian forces needed to retreat within the face of the Ukrainian counteroffensive after making constant features within the first few months of the battle. There are worries that Russian President Vladmir Putin would make good on his menace to deploy a nuclear bomb because of this.
According to Stoltenberg, NATO will proceed to carefully observe Russia’s yearly nuclear drills and be on excessive alert, “not least in light of the veiled nuclear threats and the frightening rhetoric we have seen from the Russian side.”

The NATO head reportedly made reference to Russia’s annual Grom train, which usually happens in late October and entails the testing of its nuclear-capable bombers, submarines, and missiles.
