A rampaging bull has been shot lifeless by police after charging at folks dropping youngsters off at college.
Residents along with pupils and employees at a faculty within the Cheshire village of Haslington had been ordered to remain indoors simply earlier than 9am on Wednesday, whereas the proprietor of the bull and armed police tried to carry the animal below management.

Eyewitness Paul Dalton, who was dropping off his grandchildren at college, posted on Facebook: “Heard the commotion behind us and saw a bull charging up the avenue where my car was parked.
“When I acquired again from faculty, the avenue was blocked by two vans, two trailers and three police automobiles! Had to attend an hour to recuperate automobile, fortunately undamaged.”
Cheshire Police stated the choice to shoot the bull was not “taken lightly”.
The drive stated in a press release: “At 8.50am on Wednesday, 19 April, police had been alerted to a bull on the free and charging at folks in Wells Avenue, Haslington.
“Local officers, supported by firearms officers, attended the scene and local residents, including the nearby school, were advised to stay inside as the bull in its agitated state posed an immediate threat to their safety.
