Red Bull Formula One chief Christian Horner is beneath investigation by his staff after an accusation of “inappropriate behaviour”.
It is known the allegation has been made by one other member of employees for the British-based staff, the PA information company reported.
The 50-year-old, who’s married to former Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell and has been Red Bull Racing staff principal since 2005, strongly refutes the accusation.
Horner stated: “I completely deny these claims.”
A spokesperson for Red Bull – the Austrian vitality drinks firm which owns the F1 staff – informed PA: “After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation.
“This course of, which is already beneath manner, is being carried out by an exterior specialist barrister.
“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”
Horner has been staff principal at Red Bull since their entry into F1 some 19 years in the past, overseeing seven drivers’ world championships and 6 constructors’ titles.
Last season, one of many staff’s two drivers, Max Verstappen, received his third consecutive world championship.
