An night of potty coaching went badly unsuitable after a toddler obtained her head caught in a bathroom seat.
Kay Stewart, 37, had been making an attempt to potty practice her two-year-old daughter Harper at their residence in Wallsend, North Tyneside.
But the toddler determined to attempt to put on the seat round her neck and obtained into issue, crying: “Mammy, I’m stuck.”
Ms Stewart’s efforts to get the seat off had been unsuccessful and, in desperation, she requested her 16-year-old daughter Shannon to name firefighters for assist.
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service dispatched a crew from Wallsend Community Fire Station they usually arrived inside minutes.
They used small instruments to take away the potty, and amused Harper’s siblings with the blue lights on their hearth truck.
Ms Stewart stated: “They had been so calming and saved the opposite children busy whereas serving to Harper.
“Harper gave the firefighter a big hug once he was done.
“They even put their gentle on and gave them an enormous wave earlier than heading off.
“I was so grateful for their help that evening.
Station manager Trevor Sturrock said he was “so glad” that his crew were able to assist the family and wished Harper well with her future potty training.
