A police canine has been shot and killed after it turned on its handler and attacked her.
Lancashire Police groups have been trying to find a lacking particular person in Walton-le-Dale when PD Jax turned aggressive, biting the handler and inflicting critical accidents.
Further patrols, together with armed officers, attended the scene and tried to restrain the canine, a Belgian Malinois.
But all efforts failed and PD Jax was shot by armed officers.
The police canine handler suffered a critical higher leg damage and stays in hospital.
No members of the general public have been harmed.
