Police have launched CCTV photos of 13 individuals they wish to determine following protests close to the Iranian embassy in London.
Protesters and police clashed outdoors the embassy on Sunday, with some chanting “death to the Islamic Republic”, and quite a few arrests had been made.
Met Police stated 5 officers had been severely injured in the course of the protests, which adopted the demise of Mahsa Amini in Iran.
Commander Karen Findlay stated: “We won’t tolerate members of the public, or officers who are doing all they can to maintain and regain order, being injured in any circumstance, and we are now doing everything we can to make sure those who committed the violent offences are brought to justice.
“This begins with figuring out these with the blatant intent to trigger damage by recklessly throwing gadgets, together with items of masonry and bottles.
“We need the public’s help and support to identify these people. If you recognise anyone from viewing the images, then please come forward and contact us as soon as possible. You can do this anonymously.”
Anyone who recognises any of those individuals or has any details about them is urged to contact police on 101 and quote “Op Lakselva”.
