According to the information received from the media, the representative of India in Palestine was found dead in the Indian Embassy in Ramallah. In this regard, External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar has condoled the death of the Ambassador of India. Along with this, he also informed about the death of the Ambassador of India through one of his tweets.

At the same time, a statement said that, as soon as information about the death of Mukul Arya was received, President Mahmood Abbas and PM Muhammad Satayeh gave other necessary instructions to the security personnel, police and public administrative agencies. Along with this, the Palestine administration said that it is in touch with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, so that the body of Mukul Arya can be sent to India respectfully. For this, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki called on Foreign Minister S. Talked to Jaishankar over phone and contact has also been made with Arya’s family.

Maurya, a 2008 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, had earlier also served in the Indian Embassy in Kabul and Moscow. He had also served in the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO in Paris. Arya had also worked at the headquarters of the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi.
