Big loss to Pakistan due to being in ‘Grey List’
Pakistan is struggling to get out of the gray list of FATF. In this sequence, the Anti-Corruption Watchdog has set up an Anti-Money Laundering and Terror Financing Cell to investigate financial crimes and illegal transfer of resources. The Paris-based Financial Action Task Force included Pakistan on the gray list in June 2018 and asked Islamabad to implement an action plan to curb money laundering and terror financing by the end of 2019, but later due to the coronavirus.
