Police are searching a suspect after a person had a noxious substance thrown at him in a graveyard.
The sufferer was taken to an area hospital the place he was handled for burns to the again of his head following the assault in Ramsgate, Kent.
He stays in hospital the place his accidents are described as non-life threatening.
The sufferer mentioned he was strolling alongside Manston Road and as he entered the St Laurence graveyard, he had a noxious substance hurled at him.
More particulars concerning the substance haven’t but been revealed.
Kent Police has begun an investigation into the incident which occurred at about 8.20pm final evening.
No one has been arrested over the assault and officers are interesting for any witnesses to return ahead.
District commander for Thanet, Chief Inspector Ian Swallow, mentioned: “We would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed anything to get in touch.
“Anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage within the space from Margate Road, on to Newington Road and Manston Road, please may you examine for something which will assist officers with the investigation.
“Incidents like these are rare but we do not underestimate the impact it has on a community and as a result an increased police presence will be seen in the area as we continue to carry out enquiries.”
