Climate protesters threw mashed potatoes at a Monet portray price $110m in Germany in a protest in opposition to fossil gas extraction.
Two activists from the group Last Generation approached Monet’s Les Meules on the Barberini Museum in Potsdam and threw the potato over the portray and its gold body.
Footage from the stunt exhibits the activists, carrying orange high-vis vests, throwing the combination earlier than gluing themselves to the wall under the portray.
One activist then shouts as confused gallery guests stroll behind the portray: “Does it take mashed potato on a painting to make you listen?
