A person who was swept into the ocean off the coast of Wales has been named – because the coastguard ended the seek for him.
Gareth Bowen, 46, was reported to have entered the water from rocks in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey, simply after 7pm on Saturday.
North Wales Police mentioned he has not been discovered regardless of a search which concerned a number of companies over the weekend.
The coastguard’s searches within the space have now come to an in depth, the pressure added.
In a press release, Mr Bowen’s household thanked emergency providers who have been concerned within the operation to search out him.
His mom Lorraine mentioned: “Our family are extremely grateful for the searches and effort undertaken by all of the agencies involved in the searches to find Gareth since Saturday evening.”
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency mentioned its search was stood down shortly earlier than 4pm on Sunday.
“An HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter was sent from Caernarfon as well as RNLI lifeboats from Treaddur Bay,” the spokesperson mentioned.
“Coastguard Rescue Teams were involved from Cemaes, Holyhead, Moelfre, Penmon and Rhosneigr. The search was stood down shortly before 4pm.”
