An Edinburgh man has died and his spouse is combating for her life after a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a vacation residence in Spain.
The physique of Jaime Carsi, 40, was discovered by emergency crews on the property on the island of Majorca on Saturday and Mary Somerville, 39, was found subsequent to him.
Ms Somerville remains to be in a severe situation at Manacor Hospital’s intensive care unit on the island.
The couple are understood to have been staying in a home in Cala Mesquida within the northeast of Majorca.

She added: “Jaime Carsi came into my life, and took up residence in my heart, so many years ago in London.
“His smile and spirit are pure love. And when he married our treasured Edinburgh lady, candy Mary, it was a match made in heaven. You left us too quickly my toddler.”
A Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the household of a British nationwide who was hospitalised in Mallorca. We are involved with the native authorities.”
