A person died after he was attacked by a cow that had escaped from a close-by market, an inquest has heard.
Huw Evans, 75, suffered severe accidents in Whitland, Carmarthenshire, on 19 November final 12 months.
Mr Evans had been crossing the street within the city centre when he was confronted by an “extremely agitated” cow.
He was airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, the place he died six days later.
The cow, a brown Limousin breed, escaped from Whitland Mart whereas being unloaded from a trailer.
An inquest into his demise occurred at Llanelli Town Hall on Wednesday.
It was informed that the cow ran down the primary street to the centre of Whitland, a brief distance away, after it escaped from the market.

In a tribute launched after his demise, Mr Evans’s household described him as a “loved” father, grandfather, brother and uncle and a “friend to many”.
“We would like to thank the community for their support and well wishes while Huw was in hospital and since his passing, we now know how much he will be missed,” they added.
