A person has been charged in reference to the dying of a father-of-four in Aberdeenshire.
Rodney Shaw, 50, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday accused of culpable murder.
Emergency providers responded to a report of an alleged disturbance within the Broomhill Road space of Stonehaven at round 10.40am on Tuesday.
David McGuinness, 30, from Inverurie, was subsequently taken to hospital and was pronounced lifeless a short while later.
On Wednesday, Police Scotland mentioned a person had been arrested and charged with assault in reference to the incident.
Following Mr McGuinness’ dying, his household launched an announcement by way of Police Scotland.
They mentioned: “David was a much-loved son, accomplice, brother, uncle and doting father to his 4 younger kids.
“He will be sorely missed every day by all who knew him.
“The household are completely devastated by what has occurred and would really like privateness at this troublesome time.”

Shaw, of Montrose in Angus, made no plea and was dedicated for additional examination and launched on bail. His subsequent courtroom look is but to be confirmed.
