A 19-year-old man has been charged with the homicide of a college pupil who was stabbed to loss of life in Manchester.
Shiloh George Pottinger will seem in court docket accused of killing 19-year-old Luke O’Connor, in addition to face a cost of possession of a bladed article.
Mr O’Connor, a pupil at Manchester Metropolitan University, died in hospital after he was attacked in Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield, at about 2am on Wednesday.
The household of the second-year enterprise administration undergraduate paid tribute to him following his loss of life, calling him a “gentle giant” who liked music and soccer.
They described him as “truly one of a kind, whose presence would light up any room”.
“Our hearts yearn for the loss of Luke, we are truly devastated by this tragedy,” Mr O’Connor’s household mentioned.
“Luke was loved by so many people and he knew how much he was loved in return.
“He liked the liberty of pupil residing and learning and was loving life in Manchester.
“Luke was the youngest of three boys in our household and was a delicate big with massive hopes and desires for the longer term.
“His biggest dream was to travel the world, but now Luke will never be able to fulfil that dream.”
Pottinger, who’s in custody, will seem earlier than Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
