A wild animal – believed to be a lioness – is on the free on the outskirts of German capital Berlin.
Police tweeted within the early hours to inform individuals to remain inside and usher in pets.
Hunters, vets, a helicopter and thermal cameras are reportedly concerned within the search.
Officers have been utilizing loudspeakers and emergency apps to warn individuals within the Kleinmachnow, Teltow and Stahnsdorf areas.
German media mentioned members of the general public raised the alarm after seeing the animal chasing a wild boar.
“The two gentlemen recorded a smartphone video and even experienced police officers had to confirm that it is probably a lioness,” police spokesman Daniel Kiep informed native broadcaster rbb.
A video on Twitter – which has not but been verified by Sky News – seems to indicate an enormous cat in undergrowth.
No zoos or circuses have reported lacking an animal, so it is unclear the place it got here from.
