Aviation officers are investigating after the obvious near-miss of two industrial planes close to an airport in Oregon.
The incident occurred when one airplane tried to land at Portland International Airport whereas one other had simply taken off.

A spokesperson for SkyWest mentioned: “We are conscious of studies relating to SkyWest Airlines flight 3978, working as Delta Connection from Portland to Seattle on Monday 16 October.
“The flight departed normally with pilots following Air Traffic Control instructions and landed routinely at Seattle.
“At no level was the protection of the flight compromised.”
The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) said it will be conducting an investigation into the incident, in which it “will decide the closest proximity between the plane”.
