Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan (Facebook)
The people of Pakistan are facing the double whammy of inflation and unemployment. From above, now the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan has again attacked him with the ‘whip of inflation’. Actually, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet has approved the increase in the price of sugar, wheat flour and ghee. This is going to increase the burden on the Pakistani people. In such a situation, the Pakistani people, who are facing the pressure of inflation, may again have to work harder for the essential things. The economy is already in bad shape due to Corona and rising inflation from above has taken out the people’s oil.
Finance and Revenue Minister Shaukat Tarin on Friday chaired the committee meeting, which discussed the import of 200,000 tonnes of sugar, subsidy on DAP fertilizer for cotton and rice crops and the Trade Corporation of Pakistan, Geo News reported. (TCP) approved the purchase of 200,000 cotton bales. The committee approved revision of prices of three essential commodities. In this, the price of 20 kg bag of flour has been fixed at Rs 950, ghee at Rs 260 per kg and sugar at Rs 85 per kg.
Petrol and diesel prices also increased
At the same time, earlier on Friday, the prices of petrol and diesel were also increased drastically in Pakistan. The government increased the prices of petrol by Rs 5.40 in one go. At the same time, the price of high speed diesel was also increased. The government increased the price of high speed diesel by up to Rs 2.54 per litre. Apart from this, kerosene oil was increased by Rs 1.39 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs 1.27. The Imran government is facing difficulty in running the country due to the badly deteriorating economy. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel are being increased continuously in Pakistan.
