MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi mentioned, “China’s action violates both the spirit of the Asian Games and the rules governing their conduct, which explicitly prohibits discrimination against competitors from member states.” The MEA spokeswoman was responding to media inquiries over a number of Indian athletes who have been turned away from the nineteenth Asian Games. Bagchi mentioned that the Chinese authorities had “targeted and premeditatedly discriminated” towards sure of the Indian athletes from the state of Arunachal Pradesh by refusing to grant them accreditation and entry to the nineteenth Asian Games in Hangzhou.

“In line with our long-standing and consistent position, India firmly rejects differential treatment of Indian citizens on the basis of domicile or ethnicity. He additional emphasised that the Government of India reserves the fitting to take applicable actions to guard our pursuits as an indication of our protest towards the Chinese transfer.
