A haul of 1.6 tonnes of cocaine disguised as charcoal and price over £120m has been seized.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) mentioned a “sophisticated chemical method” was used and {that a} lab would have been wanted to recuperate the drug.
It is believed to be the primary time this methodology has been seen in cocaine seized within the UK.
The medicine have been discovered amongst 800 sacks of charcoal on a ship that arrived into London Gateway port from Panama final week.
Armed police and NCA officers raided two farm properties in Leicestershire on Thursday after arresting two males, 50 and 31, in Coalville city centre.
They are being held on suspicion of importing class A medication.
Two self-loading pistols and a rifle have been discovered throughout a search of one of many properties.
