Hollywood writers have voted virtually unanimously on a deal to finish their five-month strike that plunged the movie and tv business into turmoil.
The Writers Guild of America introduced that 99% of the 8,525 members who voted selected to ratify the deal.

The leaders of the writers guild urged studios to grant actors’ calls for and mentioned their members would picket alongside them till a deal was reached.

The writers’ new contract runs till 1 May 2026 – three years from the tip of the earlier contract and the date the strike began.
