Eleven folks have been killed and a number of other others injured in an assault on a police station by suspected members of a separatist group, Iran state TV has stated.
Ali Reza Marhemati, the deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchistan province, stated senior cops and troopers had been amongst those that died within the assault within the city of Rask at about 2am on Friday.
He stated a number of of the attackers had been killed by police in a shootout.
State TV blamed the assault on the Jaish al Adl separatist group.
