A hearth that broke out at a lodge in Galway which was due for use to accommodate asylum seekers is being handled as a criminal offense by police.
Irish police are investigating after a blaze broke out at Ross Lake House Hotel in Rosscahill, Co Galway, at round 11.35pm on Saturday.
No one was contained in the constructing on the time, and the fireplace service introduced the flames below management.
Gardai are treating the fireplace as a legal harm incident and stated the scene was set to be examined additional on Sunday afternoon.
The lodge has not been in use for a number of years and had been chosen to accommodate 70 asylum seekers within the coming days.
