KievUkraine’s army is fighting a fierce battle with enemy forces in the north-west of the national capital, amid reports of Russian forces moving from the north to Kyiv. Military officials gave this information on Friday. In the fighting, a bridge over the river in Ivankiv, located about 60 kilometers northwest of Kiev, was destroyed on Friday morning, officials said.
Anton Gerashenko, an adviser to the Interior Ministry in Ukraine, said on Telegram, “Today will be the most difficult day. The enemy plans to enter Kiev via tanks via Ivankiev and Chernihiv. When our ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missile) comes under fire, Russian tanks get burnt to ashes.

Russia attacked Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday with a series of missile strikes. Moscow had targeted several major government and military installations in Kiev, shortly after which fighting broke out on the ground.
