Hundreds of soccer followers gathered at Old Trafford on Sunday to pay their respects to one in all Manchester United’s, and soccer’s, most well-known sons.
Sir Bobby Charlton died on Saturday on the age of 86, prompting an outpouring of tributes.

Garry Carless and his 12-year-old son Joe had been at residence in Walsall once they heard the information of Sir Bobby’s dying, and drove up on Sunday to pay their respects.
Joe stated his dad had advised him all about Sir Bobby, and the way he survived the Munich air crash.
“He helped rebuild the club,” he stated. “And he’s a hero”.
Garry summed up his emotions for Sir Bobby: “He was a legend and a gentleman.”
“He epitomises the club and its values, and he’s one of the reasons United is as big a club as it is.”
Others have extra private reminiscences, like the person who stated Sir Bobby took time to talk with him when he acquired a job as a safety steward on the membership.
And the aged fan who stated he as soon as met Sir Bobby and was struck by his humility and kindness. “He was a great player, and a true gentleman”, he stated.
Sir Bobby spent 17 years as a participant at United and has a stand named in his honour.
