Two males have been ejected from Millwall’s soccer floor for making “offensive gestures” forward of the membership’s FA Cup third spherical tie towards Leicester City on Saturday.
The Metropolitan Police informed Sky News “two men were detained and ejected” from The Den.
A police spokesman added: “They will each be summonsed for an offence under the Public Order Act.
“Enquiries are ongoing to find a 3rd man in reference to the incident.”
The supporters were reportedly mocking the death of former Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash in 2018.
Video recorded by fans at the stadium and published on social media showed a group of men making hand gestures while pictures published later appeared to show them being escorted away from the stands by security staff.
Leicester Police Events, a police account supporting Leicester City’s soccer security and safety, earlier reported its officers had been “aware of the footage circulating”.
The account added: “Thanks to all who got in touch.”
Srivaddhanaprabha, a Thai billionaire, and 4 different individuals died when their helicopter spun uncontrolled and crashed in October 2018.
The different 4 individuals killed had been the helicopter’s pilot Eric Swaffer, Mr Swaffer’s accomplice Izabela Lechowicz, ex-Thai magnificence queen Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, who labored for the Leicester City proprietor.
Leicester and Millwall are but to remark publicly on the footage.
