A lightweight plane made an emergency touchdown on a busy highway close to Gloucester.
The plane was compelled to land on the central reservation of the A40 Golden Valley bypass, between Gloucester and Cheltenham, at round 6pm at the moment.
The highway was subsequently shut in each instructions between the A417 and J11 of the M5 attributable to what was described as an “aviation incident”.
Emergency companies had been on the scene, however it’s understood nobody was injured, and no different autos had been concerned.
Gloucestershire Police mentioned they had been referred to as to the scene and the highway has since been re-opened.
There had been delays of 10 minutes and round one mile of congestion on the strategy to the scene.
Images shared of the plane appeared to point out minimal injury, regardless of the awkward touchdown.
A witness who noticed the aircraft on the highway whereas travelling on a bus, 17-year-old Vesper Gray Smith, mentioned: “I felt pretty surprised, as it’s really not something that happens often.
“I feel everybody else on the bus was fairly stunned as properly.
“One of the first things I thought about the incident is if everyone is alright, and luckily they were.”
