A bus driver has been arrested after a bus crashed into a store in Manchester’s metropolis centre, leaving a dozen individuals injured.
The 64-year-old driver was detained on suspicion of inflicting critical harm by harmful driving.
Among the wounded was a lady who’s in a crucial situation and receiving therapy in hospital.
The different individuals injured are believed to be secure with minor accidents.
It is known the 12 are pedestrians and passengers on the bus.
Police, fireplace and ambulance crews had been current on the incident in Piccadilly Gardens, as highway collision investigators proceed to work on the scene.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service confirmed earlier that there have been “a number of casualties”.
Photos from the scene present the pavement cordoned off with the bus’s entrance finish inside a bubble tea store referred to as T4.
In a press release, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) stated: “At round 1pm immediately, police had been referred to as to studies of a collision involving a bus and a store in Piccadilly Gardens.
“Police alongside colleagues in the North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue have been in attendance.
“There are highway closures within the space while emergency providers stay on the scene coping with the collision and officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are in attendance.
“We would ask members of the public to avoid the area where possible whilst officers establish the full circumstances.”

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service stated that two fireplace engines had been despatched to the incident on Parker Street in Manchester metropolis centre.
“Crews remain in attendance”, it added.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service stated it despatched “four ambulances, two senior paramedics, a cycle responder, an operations manager and the Hazardous Area Response Team” to the scene.
A spokesperson for T4 UK Franchise Ltd, stated: “T4 UK has today been informed of the bus crash at our newly-opened Manchester store.
“Firstly, we wish to want all of these concerned within the crash a speedy restoration, we stay up for welcoming them to our retailer as soon as totally recovered.
“We will remain closed until we are able to get the store back up on its feet. All staff members are okay although shaken up.”
