Nepal Congress chief Sher Bahadur Deuba will be the next Prime Minister of Nepal. Nepal’s Supreme Court on Monday issued an order directing Nepal’s President Vidya Devi Bhandari to appoint Sher Bahadur Deuba as the next prime minister and restore the House of Representatives for the second time in five months. However, Sher Bahadur Deuba is not going to sit on the throne of Nepal PM for the first time. Even before this, he has commanded the country from 1995 to 1997, then from 2001 to 2002, then from 2004 to 2005 and last from 2017 to 2018.
When the court ruled in favor of Deuba, a four-time prime minister, KP Sharma Oli suffered a major setback, who had been preparing for re-elections for several months. The court also said that the President’s decision to dissolve the lower house on Oli’s recommendation was “unconstitutional”. The Supreme Court has issued an order to convene the session of the House of Representatives on July 18 at 5 pm. Now the question is who is the next Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba and what is his political history?

His previous term as Prime Minister began in June 2017 and ended in February 2018, after which KP Sharma Oli took over. Earlier Deuba was appointed Prime Minister in 1995, 2001 and 2004. Deuba has also served as the Minister of Home Affairs and has been elected as a Member of Parliament for the Nepali Congress from Dadeldhura district.
