Dan Wootton has been suspended by GB News after feedback made by Laurence Fox throughout his present on the channel.
Fox was taken off air following feedback he made on air on Tuesday about feminine PoliticsJOE journalist Ava Evans, which have been described as “unacceptable, unjustifiable and indefensible”.
One of his remarks included asking: “Who would want to shag that?”
GB News stated in an announcement: “[We have] suspended Dan Wootton following comments made on his programme by Laurence Fox last night.
“This follows our determination earlier right now to formally droop Mr Fox.”
The channel stated it was conducting an investigation into the feedback.
It got here after the broadcaster stated it had suspended Fox “immediately” and claimed it might be “apologising formally to Ms Evans today [Wednesday]”.
Wootton provided an apology to Ms Evans in a public submit on X, previously often called Twitter, during which he described the reporter as “brilliant”.

Fox’s feedback made journalist really feel ‘bodily sick’
Fox’s feedback about Ms Evans aired on GB News following the journalist’s look on the BBC’s Politics Live, on which she mentioned matters together with psychological well being.

In a follow-up submit, she added that the footage made her really feel “physically sick”.
And talking to Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine present on Wednesday morning, Ms Evans stated she was “really hurt” by the feedback Fox made about her “body rather than her work”.
She added: “I’m shocked about by it, I’m shocked that it went out.
“Do you recognize that is the type of speak that you simply fear that males have about you if you’re not within the room. There is at all times type of a fear at the back of your thoughts which is: ‘Are individuals truly focused on what I’m saying or what I’m doing?’
“Or are they just looking at me physically and I think that that clip proves that there are some men who are.”

Fox stands by feedback amid complaints to Ofcom
The 45-year-old actor stood by his feedback in his personal social media posts on Wednesday.
He stated: “I stand by every word of what I said.”

Media regulator Ofcom said it had received a “variety of complaints” about comments made by Fox on GB News.
“We are assessing these complaints in opposition to our broadcast guidelines and can publish the end result as rapidly as attainable,” the regulator said in a statement.

Speaking to the Sky News Politics Hub, Technology Secretary Michelle Donelan said: “Ofcom actually do want to have a look at this. I used to be fairly shocked and brought aback by the extent of the feedback made and the response of Dan on that present.
“It was completely unacceptable.
“I’m glad that GB News took decisive motion and suspended each of them rapidly right now, however there must be the following stage now and Ofcom actually must be this.”
She said she would not be boycotting the channel, however.
Fox, who was previously married to actress Billie Piper, founded the Reclaim Party in October 2020 after an appearance on BBC One’s Question Time earlier that year, which he said resulted in him being “cancelled from a 21-year appearing profession”.
