Malaysia’s Science Minister Khairi Jamaluddin said that a major vaccination center in the country has been closed because more than 200 medical staff were found infected here.

Science Minister Khairi Jamaluddin said that it is difficult to find out whether this infection has happened at the center itself or not. He emphasized that due to the swift action taken by the government, success has been achieved in preventing the formation of clusters.
The Science Minister urged the people that those who have got their vaccination done at this center since Friday, should isolate themselves for 10 days. Khairi Jamaluddin is the head of the country’s National Immunization Program. He said that two volunteers were found corona infected in Selangor, the central province of the country, after which I ordered all 453 health workers to undergo a corona test. He said that among the 204 people whose results came positive, there were less viral loads. This means that the amount of virus in his body was very less. In this way he was infected with mild symptoms of the virus.

At present, the vaccination center has been closed so that it can be sanitized on a large scale. Apart from this, people working here have been isolated. Khairi Jamaluddin has said that the vaccination center will be reopened on Wednesday. During this, a new team will be deployed here for the vaccination of the people. Even after the strict lockdown implemented from June 1, the virus is wreaking havoc in Malaysia. So far 8,44,000 people have been infected with the virus, while more than 6200 people have lost their lives. So far, only 11 percent of the population has been vaccinated.

On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said that the new variant ‘Delta’ of COVID-19 is spreading rapidly around the world. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the delta variant, which has reached 104 countries, is expected to soon become the most dominant variant of corona in the whole world. He said that this variant is infecting people who are not vaccinated. Because of this, the pressure on the health system is increasing.
