A development employee killed on the website of Everton FC’s new stadium in Liverpool has been named.
Michael Jones, 26, from Kirkby, Merseyside, died in hospital following the incident at Bramley-Moore Dock, at round 1pm on Monday.
Mr Jones’s household described him as a “lifelong blue” who was “happy to be working on the new stadium”.
“The family would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. It is with our greatest sadness that our beloved son, brother uncle and friend Michael has sadly passed away,” the assertion stated.
“We want to thank the NHS staff and work colleagues who did their best for Michael. He will be missed beyond words.”
