China is deceiving India by sending medical items of poor quality in the name of help (Covid Aid to India) and presenting a false picture of generosity to the world.
China is sending poor quality goods to India
China Sends Low Quality Medical Products: Seeing India implicated in India Covid Situation, China is taking advantage of its help in the name of help. Not only have the Chinese companies increased their prices due to the increasing demand for medical devices, but also the Oxygen Concentrators are coming from China. Some documents have been written in the India Today report that Chinese companies have not only increased the price of oxygen concentrators but have also changed their components, due to which their quality level has fallen.
Due to such poor oxygen concentrator, people’s lives can also be threatened. Surprisingly, these Chinese companies have also kept the prices of 5 and 10 liter oxygen concentrators separately. In the past weeks, there has been a sudden increase in their prices (China Sending Low Quality Medical Products). On the other hand, China is trying to show how it is extending ‘humanitarian’ aid to India. Chinese Ambassador to India Sun Weidong is tweeting the day on the goods coming from China. He is trying to show a picture of China’s generosity towards India.
Actually cheating china
In a tweet, Widong says, ‘Chinese companies are advancing humanism, they are focusing on saving lives, they are reacting to the needs of the Indian people. This shows their social responsibility as well as goodwill in India’s fight with COVID-19. This is the picture that China wants to show, but actually China is cheating. The media report quoted the document as saying that a company named Yuwell was offering a piece of oxygen concentrator to India for $ 340 on April 30, but that price rose to $ 460 (as of May 12) a week later.
Loss due to dependence on any one country
The USISPF (US-India Strategic Partnership Forum) has promised 1 lakh oxygen concentrators to India as COVID relief aid. But most of the medical devices are such, which are coming from China. Dr Mukesh Aghi, CEO of USISPF, explains, “The current healthy crisis has highlighted the shortcomings of the global supply chain and explains why countries should not depend on a single country to supply critical tools to save lives.” Due to the sudden increase in demand for oxygen concentrators, their prices have been increased, there is a shortage of important components due to which customers are getting poor quality products.
