A 13-year-old boy who died after a highway crash shall be “missed beyond measure”, his household has stated.
Kaylan Hippsley, from Hirwaun in Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales, died in hospital following a collision on Thursday 29 February.
Emergency companies had been known as at 6.25pm that day following an incident in Hirwaun involving a brown Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian, police stated.
In a press release, Kaylan’s household described him as “a cheeky chappie” who “always had a twinkle in his eye”.
They stated he was a “talented rugby and football player” who “loved online gaming”.
“He was a bright, intelligent boy and a much-loved pupil in Aberdare Community School,” they added.
“He loved spending time with his family and had a great group of friends.”
The “devastated” household additionally thanked emergency companies and medical workers who cared for Kaylan, in addition to the group of Hirwaun.
“Kaylan, your life was a blessing your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure,” they added.
Harley Whiteman, 19, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Saturday charged with inflicting severe harm by harmful driving.
He was additionally charged with failing to offer a specimen for evaluation, and was remanded in custody.
