A pilot for British Airways was reportedly tortured after he was kidnapped whereas purchasing throughout a stopover between flights in South Africa.
The airline has stated it’s “supporting” a colleague and native authorities with their investigation, however provided no additional particulars.
The Sun newspaper experiences a supply claiming the pilot was solely launched after he was left “penniless”.
An alert was despatched to airline workers notifying them a crew member “was abducted” outdoors a grocery store, the newspaper provides.
“It’s staggering what happened to the pilot. It was like something out of the movies,” a supply is reported as saying.
The pilot was reportedly approached by a lady in a grocery store automotive park, north of the Melrose Arch complicated in Johannesburg, who requested him to assist together with her luggage.
When they reached her car, he was pushed inside by a gaggle of males and pushed to a distant a part of the town to be “badly roughed up”.

“He fell for the scam of agreeing to help a woman in need, and before he knew it, was bundled in a vehicle and driven away,” the supply stated.
“He then endured hours of torture and physical assaults. It only ended when he was left penniless. He is just happy to be alive.”
British Airways instructed Sky News: “We are supporting our colleague and the local authorities with their investigation.”
