A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of the homicide of a 17-year-old boy stabbed to demise in Brighton.
Police had been known as to Queens Road in the East Sussex metropolis round 5pm on Thursday night to experiences of a stabbing.
Mustafa Momand was taken to hospital, the place he was pronounced lifeless.
Following an “extensive search”, a 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of the homicide and stays in custody for questioning, Sussex Police stated.
Police are interesting for witnesses to return ahead.
Mr Momand’s subsequent of kin have been knowledgeable and are being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme, of the Surrey & Sussex main crime workforce, stated: “This is a tragic incident in which a young man has lost his life and we understand the community will be shocked and alarmed.
“A suspect is in custody and a fast-moving investigation is below option to set up precisely what occurred and why. While we achieve this, there shall be an elevated police presence within the space for a while.
“This incident took place in the centre of the city at a peak time.
“Officers have already spoken with many witnesses, however we wish to hear from anybody who witnessed the incident, or noticed a person wearing black leaving the realm who hasn’t but offered particulars to the police.
“Similarly, we are asking anyone who has relevant information or video footage – for example from a dashcam or their mobile phone – to get in touch.”
