A 17-year-old boy and a 12-year-old lady who died after stepping into issue within the water off Bournemouth seashore on Wednesday have been named by Dorset Police as Joe Abbess and Sunnah Khan.
Another eight individuals had been injured within the incident.
Joe was from Southampton whereas Sunnah was from Buckinghamshire, the drive mentioned.
A person in his 40s who was “on the water” on the time was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and was launched beneath investigation on Thursday whereas police inquiries proceed.
Joe’s household issued a tribute to him via Dorset Police, saying: “We are heartbroken and devastated at the death of our Joe. He was a wonderful son and brother who is sadly missed.
“His household and pals will at all times love him, and we’re extremely pleased with the fabulous younger man he was. He was sort and beneficiant, loving and caring, hardworking and humorous.
“Joe was a talented trainee chef, with a bright future ahead of him. We were privileged to have him in our lives for 17 years, and we are so sorry he will never fulfil his dreams and ambitions.
“He was having fun with a day on the seashore on Wednesday, and we want to thank his pals and all the emergency providers who helped him, when this tragedy unfolded.”
Dorset Police acquired a report from paramedics at about 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon of individuals requiring help on the seashore close to to Bournemouth Pier.
Emergency providers attended the scene and 10 individuals had been recovered from the water.
The drive mentioned Joe and Sunnah had been rescued from the ocean, however each died later in hospital.
