Blast in Dhaka: There was a tremendous explosion due to a gas cylinder in Dhaka late on Sunday night. Seven people died in this blast. At the same time, more than 70 people have been injured, whose treatment is going on.

Seven people were killed, while more than 70 people were injured in a blast in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka late on Sunday night. At present, the reason behind this blast is believed to be a gas cylinder blast. Dhaka Police Commissioner Shafikul Islam while talking to the media said that till now we have come to know that seven people have died in this blast. He said that seven buildings and three passenger buses were damaged in the blast in Moghbazar area.
Brigadier General Sajjad Hussain, the chief of the fire brigade, said preliminary evidence suggested that the blasts were caused by a gas cylinder explosion. But we are yet to find out how exactly this happened. Hussain said a restaurant on the ground floor of a nearby building had gas cylinders and a showroom on the top floor had air conditioners. While the road construction work was going on near the spot. There were also gas cylinders present there. At present, investigation has been started regarding these links. Soon all the information in this matter will be revealed.
People were shocked to hear the sound of the blast
TV channels said that dozens of people were injured in this blast. Most of the injured included bus passengers and passersby passing by. Those injured in the accident are being treated in three hospitals. Doctors say that most of these people have suffered serious burn injuries. People living in this neighborhood say that the blast shook this part of the city. There was an atmosphere of panic among the people. Broken pillars, pieces of concrete and glass could be seen scattered at the scene after the blast in the central part of the country’s capital on TV channels.
Eyewitnesses told the circumstances of the blast
50-year-old Tajul Islam, who was the victim of the blast, said that I was in the bus when the blast took place. I jumped out of a window. Initially I thought that there was an explosion in the gas cylinder present in the bus. I have never seen such a big explosion in my life. Tajul said that due to the blast, he has suffered a back injury and he is also having difficulty in hearing. Another eyewitness said that he saw the ball of fire going over his head. Soon after the blast, the entire area was covered with smoke and darkness. He told that the sound of the blast was so loud that everyone got scared.
