The number of mobile phone users has increased rapidly around the world. With this, the time spent on mobile phones has also increased. But spending more time on the phone can be dangerous for health (Phone side effects). A study has found that if a person uses a mobile phone for at least 17 minutes every day for 10 years, then the risk of cancer tumor formation in his body increases by 60 percent. Apart from this, there is also a risk of ending the sales.
Researchers from the University of California Berkeley have statistically analyzed 46 different studies of mobile phone use and health effects around the world. They found that using a mobile phone for 1,000 hours, or about 17 minutes per day, over a ten-year period increased the risk of developing cancerous tumors by 60 percent. Researchers say radiation from mobile signals “interferes with cellular mechanisms” and can lead to the formation of strain proteins that can damage DNA. Even with this there is a risk of tumor and cell destruction.
Try to keep the phone away from yourself
The Berkeley researchers examined earlier studies in the US, Sweden, the UK, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand to get a comprehensive picture of mobile use and health. The rate of owning mobile phones is also increasing. The study found that 87 percent of households had at least one device in 2011, which has increased to more than 95 percent in 2020. Study author Joel Moskovitz said that people should spend as little time on mobile phones as possible. The phone should be kept away from your body and landlines should be used for calls where possible.
The US Food and Drug Administration rejected the study
However, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has rejected the link between cancer and mobile radiation. The FDA said that there is no consistent or reliable scientific evidence of health problems caused by exposure to radio frequency energy from mobile phones. In such a situation, questions are also being raised on this study. But everyone is aware of the fact that excessive phone use definitely damages the eyes.
