The new boss of the housing organisation that managed the flat wherein a boy was killed by mould has stated his loss of life “rightly shocked the social housing sector”.
Yvonne Arrowsmith was introduced as the brand new interim chief govt of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) on Thursday.
Her predecessor, Gareth Swarbrick, was sacked after a coroner dominated that Awaab Ishak’s loss of life on the age of two was brought on by “extensive” mould in his household’s rented flat.
Announcing her appointment, the chair of the RBH board and the chair of its consultant physique stated: “We want to start by saying again how sorry we are for the loss of Awaab.
