After the introduction of the new law here, a total of four agreements have been scrapped (China Australia Dispute). Under this law, the federal government gets the power to cancel international agreements that are done at the lower administrative level and which are found against the nation. In these same agreements, two are related to the Beld & Road project of China. Which were signed in the years 2018 and 2019.

Talking about this new law of Australia, it was passed in the year 2018, it is a national security law. Under which secretly interfering in domestic policies by any other country is prevented. This is the reason that China has also expressed its displeasure with this law.

When did Australia-China relationship deteriorate?
