    Air India: Mumbai Police has arrested an Indian-origin-based US citizen for allegedly smoking within the rest room whereas creating bother for different passengers as nicely. He was on an Air India flight from London to Mumbai. Regarding the incident, the police have confirmed {that a} case has been registered in opposition to the accused, who has been recognized as 37-year outdated Ramakant for doing so mid-flight on eleventh of March.

We immediately threw the cigarette from his hand. Then Ramakant started shouting at all our crew members. Somehow we took him to his seat. But after some time he tried to open the door of the aircraft. All the passengers got scared because of his behaviour and he started acting gimmick on the flight. He was not ready to listen to us and was shouting. Then we tied his hands and legs and made him sit on the seat.”

    Charges filed in opposition to the accused

    According to the authorities, the case has been registered in opposition to the accused underneath the Indian Penal Code (IPC) part 336, which offers with acts that endanger human life or private security, and the Aircraft Act of 1937, which incorporates sections 22 (refusal to comply with lawful directions of the Pilot-in-Command), 23 (assault and different acts that jeopardize security or order), and 25 (smoking).
