Nuclear Deal: The relationship between America and Iran has been going bad for a long time, the biggest reason for which is the nuclear deal, on which the Biden government wants to negotiate, but Iran is hesitant.
US President Joe Biden
US Slams Iran For Delay in Prisoner Swap Talks: US President Joe Biden’s administration on Saturday hit out at Iran, accusing it of delaying the prisoner swap. It is believed that all this was done so that Iran can be forced to immediately start indirect nuclear talks (US Iran Nuclear Deal). The US State Department called the comments of Iran’s deputy secretary of state “outrageous”.
Iran’s deputy foreign minister alleged that the United States and Britain were using a ‘hostage’ trick to save the 2015 Iran nuclear deal (US Iran Prisoners Swap). Syed Abbas Aragchi said in a series of tweets from his confirmed account that nuclear talks in Vienna cannot be resumed until Iran’s hardline newly elected president takes office in early August.
10 prisoners can be released
He said, ‘We are in the era of transfer of power. Nuclear talks will have to wait for our new administration. This is the demand of every democracy. He said, ’10 prisoners from all sides can be released tomorrow if the US and Britain fulfill their share of the agreement (US Iran Relations).’ Last month, six rounds of nuclear talks were in vain before Ibrahim Raisi won Iran’s presidential election.
US ready for seventh round of talks
The US is constantly saying that it is ready for the seventh round of talks and is also demanding the immediate release of American citizens held captive in Iran (Joe Biden Slams Iran Government). Responding to Aragchi’s remarks, US State Department spokesman Ned Price rejected claims that a prisoner swap agreement had already been reached and said that while the US waited for nuclear talks to resume, The talks regarding the transfer are ready to continue.
